The New Orleans Saints can check off another "box of adjustment" this offseason. They'll look a bit different for at least a game or two next season, based on a recent update regarding their uniform set.
According to a social media post, it appears that the Saints will unveil their new alternate helmet on July 9th.

This update does navigate away from a previous report that the team would introduce a new alternate helmet on July 22nd. It's possible that the Saints reveal it on social media but don't show it in use until that date later this month.
Our sources have indicated the New Orleans Saints will introduce a new alternate helmet and uniform on the following day, July 22. The latter is especially notable because it will replace either their 1967-68 throwback uniforms or their Color Rush design, which is effectively the road version of the throwback set. An old gold helmet makes sense, but it’s unclear which uniform would be replaced (or why it would change). -- Andrew Lind
It's also possible that the Saints still introduce a new alternate uniform later in July as well. They've been routinely named as one of a handful of teams that is receiving one this offseason. Only time will tell.
With a bit of graphic maneuvering, plenty of folks in the comments pointed to the idea that the new helmet may be white with a gold logo and black stripe on top. Fans have clamored for a white Saints helmet for years, so this would be a great addition to the uniform set.

I believe that this would be a massive upgrade over the current black alternate helmet. Since it's beginning, the fan base has had mixed emotions on it, and many of those have leaned negative.
Regardless, it seems like the wait for a new helmet for the Saints will finally come to an end this week.
