The New England Patriots introduced new wide receiver Mack Hollins on Friday, and he made quite the entrance before his press conference.

Hollins, who played for the Buffalo Bills last season, signed a two-year, $8.4 million deal with the Patriots on Thursday, and he entered the press room barefoot on Friday. Wearing a red hoodie with black sweats and no shoes or socks, Hollins talked about what he wants to do in pads and cleats for the Patriots this year.

"Obviously, the history of this team is great. It's been run really well for a long time," Hollins told reporters via 98.5 The Sports Hub's Alex Barth. "Me and coach (Josh) McDaniels were in Vegas together — I had my best statistical year...but also seeing coach (Mike) Vrabel and how he ran his teams in Tennessee."

Hollins had 57 catches for 690 yards and four touchdowns in 2022 when he played for McDaniels with the Las Vegas Raiders. McDaniels rejoined the Patriots this offseason as the offensive coordinator.

Last season, Hollins had 31 catches for 378 yards and five touchdowns with the Bills. He benefitted from catching passes from star quarterback Josh Allen, and Hollins hopes to do more of the same with second-year Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.

"One thing I learned playing with Josh is you've got to have some good conditioning, because the play's not over," Hollins said via Barth. "And being able to say that in Drake's game is — 'great, I can carry that over.' You never know what Drake might spin out of, duck under, jump over — you've got to be there."

Hollins has some familiarity with Maye, too, because Hollins once played with Maye's older brother, Luke, at North Carolina. A former fourth-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017, Hollins will play for his sixth NFL team in New England this year.
