New York Giants Add Former Eagles Receiver To Coaching Staff
Andrew Weber-US Presswire

After a 3-14 season that marked the worst in franchise history since 1974, the New York Giants are continuing to remake their coaching staff.

Owner John Mara has chosen to stick with head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen, and now that duo is bringing in a familiar face, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Chad Hall is the latest addition to the Giants' coaching staff, as he will take over as assistant quarterbacks coach after spending the past two seasons as the Jacksonville Jaguars' wide receivers coach. He was previously an offensive assistant (2017-18) and wide receivers coach (2019-22) for the Bills with Daboll and Schoen.

Hall is taking over the role for Christian Jones, who was the assistant quarterbacks coach the past three seasons. Jones recently accepted a with the Cleveland Browns as their new tight ends coach.

Hall, who turns 39 in May, spent five years in the NFL after going undrafted in 2008 out of Air Force. He spent his first two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he also worked as a returner. He joined the San Francisco 49ers in 2012 and Kansas City Chiefs in 2013 before briefly signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2014 offseason.

Across 24 NFL games, he totaled 16 catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns, plus another 42 on the ground and 224 on 16 returns.

Hall does share another NFL connection, as his sister Kelly is married to Matthew Stafford. The 37-year-old signal-caller has indicated that he intends to play in 2025, although there are no signs yet that the Los Angeles Rams would trade him, even to a QB-needy team like the Giants.
