New York Giants bring back wide receiver on two-year deal

The New York Giants re-sign a wide receiver

Before free agency, the New York Giants took care of a few major pieces for the offense. They are now working to build up their core offensive players. The Giants signed quarterback Daniel Jones to a long-term contract. They then applied the franchise tag to Saquon Barkley and traded for tight end Darren Waller this week. The Giants now have a wide receiver secured to stay in New York.

According to Mike Garafolo with the NFL Network, the Giants have agreed to re-sign wide receiver Darius Slayton. The deal is for two years and will include a $12 million base value. The max Slayton can earn with incentives is $16.5 million.

Slayton had over 700 yards receiving in his first two seasons with the Giants. However, he struggled during the 2021 season when he only started in five games and recorded 339 receiving yards. Slayton had a much better season in 2022 under new head coach Brian Daboll, as Slayton would catch 46 passes for 724 yards.
