The New York Giants will be closely monitoring several key areas during training camp and the upcoming 2025 season. With so many young players added to their roster, the development of those key players will be arguably their top priority.

One of the most important veterans on their roster, who will play a massive role in helping those young players hit the ground running, is their star offensive tackle, Andrew Thomas. And ahead of the 2025 season, he's receiving the flowers he has earned from others around the league.

10. Andrew Thomas, New York Giants

It's hard to call Thomas an upside play entering Year 6, but some evaluators see a premier tackle who could be one of the best if he puts together a complete performance in 2025.

A knee issue limited Thomas to six games last season. He still stopped the run at a high level (79.9 run block win rate) when he was out there.

"He was trending into the elite before the injury," a veteran AFC personnel evaluator said. "They were almost writing him off (in New York) early on, but he's blossomed."

Thomas' performance mirrored Darrisaw's, with an 89.0 pass block win rate on 234 opportunities.

Thomas is entering his sixth season in the NFL after the Giants used their first round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on the talented tackle. He has started 60 games during that span, and when he's on the field, he's one of their team's true foundational players. Sadly, he has only been able to suit up for 16 games over the past two years, and just six games in 2024. Staying healthy will be key to him being able to show the rest of the league just how good he is.

Despite having to miss games, he came in at tenth on this ranking and even got ranked as the best tackle in the NFL by at least one person polled. Now, the Giants have a rookie first-round QB who could make his first start this year or in the near future. Thomas will be tasked with keeping whoever the QB is off the ground, but when the time comes for Jaxson Dart to enter the fold, his development will be priority number one for the Giants. And they have to feel good having someone of Thomas' caliber leading the charge to protect their potential franchise QB going forward.
