New York Jets Star 'Unhappy' As Trade Deadline Approaches

At 0-7, the New York Jets are expected to be sellers ahead of the trade deadline on Nov. 4.

Prior to the start of the 2025 season, the Jets signed All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner and wide receiver Garrett Wilson to long-term contracts. Outside of those two stars, it's fair to wonder if everyone else is available for the right price. Regardless, Jordan Schultz reported that NFL teams are keeping an eye on Aaron Glenn's roster.

“There’s an element of trying to figure out who are Glenn’s guys and who aren’t,” a source told Schultz. “Remember when Detroit suddenly traded Hockenson? A building block from the last regime is not going to be a guaranteed building block in this one.”

Running back Breece Hall and Pro Bowl defensive end Jermaine Johnson II have been mentioned as potential trade pieces for Jets.

While there's no guarantee the Jets will make a blockbuster move ahead of the trade deadline, SNY's Connor Hughes reported that All-Pro defensive lineman Quinnen Williams is "unhappy."

With the trade deadline coming up, the Jets could receive offers for Quinnen Williams.

What would it cost to get Williams?

Williams, a three-time Pro Bowler, has 31 total tackles, three forced fumbles and one sack for the Jets this season. He's been outstanding against the run so far.

If teams want to acquire Williams, they'll most likely have to give up at least a second-round pick.

"I was told by somebody very tied into this situation that the Jets are probably looking at a 2 for him. The reason for that is there's no substantial guaranteed money left on his deal," Hughes said. "There are rumblings around there that Quinnen Williams is unhappy. That's the perception outside of Florham Park."

Williams has two years remaining on his current contract. In the event he's traded, we'd have to imagine he'd want more guaranteed money from his new team.
