Falcons

Panthers

  • Panthers HC Dave Canales said WR Jalen Coker is on track to return from his quad injury, but this week’s practices will be key to determining his Week 6 status. (Joe Person)

Saints

The Saints fell to 1-4 after a tough Week 5 loss to the Vikings, in which they mustered only 13 points. New Orleans C Erik McCoy kept it brutally honest about where the offense stands, saying they need to stay ahead of the sticks and figure out how to win.

“I mean when you’re sitting in, what was it, 2nd-and-25? What’s your call sheet? Like, what are you calling?” McCoy said, via Matt DeGregorio. “The reality is, offensively, we don’t know how to win right now. And it’s something we have to get fixed, and we have get fixed fast. We’re on a three-game losing skid, at home. And with all our fans showing up. That (expletive) is not okay.”

  • Saints HC Kellen Moore was asked directly if QB Tyler Shough is playing with a broken hand: “It got banged two weeks ago and he’s just wearing some protective layers there.” (Jeff Nowak)
  • Moore feels WR Jordyn Tyson is progressing well but said he won’t return to practice this week. (Mike Triplett)
