Aaron Rodgers ultimately ended up signing a one-year, $13.65 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, but that wasn't the only team the four-time MVP was connected to this offseason.
Rodgers was also rumored to have interest in joining the Vikings (and potentially the Rams) over the last few months. And during an appearance on the NFL Network's "Good Morning Football," head coach Sean McVay revealed how much of a possibility that actually was.
"Our first priority was let's work something out with Matthew [Stafford] and we were very fortunate that it worked out that way," the Rams HC began. "If that wasn't able to occur, then that was definitely conversations and a possibility for us."
“That was a possibility.”

"I have a ton of respect for the body of work and I've gotten to know Aaron and really enjoy the conversations ... and the way that he thinks about the game and life," McVay added. "So that was a possibility."
The Rams ultimately ended up getting their QB back after initially granting Stafford permission to seek a trade after their season came to an end. However, less than a week later, the 37-year-old re-upped with the team on a restructured contract.
While some wondered if there would be any bad blood or tension between LA's front office and the Super Bowl champion, McVay maintained that their relationship is as good as its ever been.
"What I do feel really fortunate about is I think that we're closer than ever," McVay said. "When you're able to have real conversations, I think you can appreciate the love that's been built up, but also the ability to be honest with one another."
Rodgers told Pittsburgh media at his first day of OTAs that signing with the Steelers was "best for my soul."
"I don't need it to keep playing. A lot of decisions that I've made over my career and life from strictly the ego, even if they turn out well, are always unfulfilling," the 20-year veteran stated. "But the decisions made from the soul are usually pretty fulfilling."
