NFL analyst breaks down what a draft day trade for the Raiders could look like
Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders could be candidates to move up in the 2024 NFL Draft to try and snag a quarterback, something they so desperately need. This draft class is stacked with quarterbacks, and they could be one team to be on the outside looking in because of where they draft.

By the time pick No. 13 rolls around, the top quarterbacks could very well be off of the board. There is a possibility that 10 of the 12 picks in front of the Raiders could pick a quarterback. Now, that isn't me saying that all of those teams will get a quarterback because that would be crazy, and the Chicago Bears have two picks in the top 10.

So, if they want that young quarterback that they desperately need - someone who is a game changer and a franchise changer, they will have to trade up in the draft. That's fine, too, because the Raiders can afford it, but it's whether or not the other team agrees to the deal.

If the Raiders were to trade up, there are scenarios that show what would happen and what it would take. One NFL analyst compared the trade to one that happened before in a very similar situation.

Moe Moton, an NFL analyst for Bleacher Report, suggested that the trade could be very similar to what we saw not long ago when the San Francisco 49ers traded up with the Miami Dolphins to draft Trey Lance.

In that trade, the Dolphins ended up getting pick No. 12, a third-rounder, and some future first-rounders. Now, a lot of fans may not want to do that, but if it's worth getting a guy who can completely change your franchise, then they should do that.

It's certainly something that the Raiders will have to ponder, but we have already seen several reports that the Raiders are certainly interested in moving up.
