NFL Announces Change for Patriots Game on Monday

After the New England Patriots blew out the Carolina Panthers in Week 4 on Sunday, they got some rather interesting news the next day.

Apparently, the NFL is adjusting the Patriots' schedule for their Week 6 game against the New Orleans Saints. New England was initially set to play at 4:25 p.m. ET on Oct. 12 on CBS. Now, the game has been moved to 1 p.m. ET, still on CBS.

Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers' game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the same game-week has been moved to 4:25 p.m. ET.

The Patriots are 2-2 on the season after their 42-13 victory against the Panthers; however, the Saints remain winless at 0-4. That being said, it's not surprising why the NFL opted to change the schedule and give the 49ers-Buccaneers game a bigger audience.

For what it's worth, the 49ers and Buccaneers are both 3-1 and leading their respective divisions.

San Francisco is coming off a loss after bowing to the Jacksonville Jaguars in their Week 4 meeting. On the other hand, Tampa Bay is in a similar situation, having suffered its first loss of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles in their last outing.

Despite the change in schedule, the Patriots can only focus on improving their record as they look to make the postseason. New England last made the playoffs in 2021 and hasn't had a winning record ever since then.

The Patriots play the Buffalo Bills in Week 5, which should be a big challenge since Josh Allen and his squad are undefeated after four outings.
