The Buffalo Bills shocked the football world on Sunday night, mounting a 15-point comeback over the Baltimore Ravens with less than four minutes remaining.
Buffalo went on to win 41-40, opening the season with a thrilling 1-0 record behind star quarterback Josh Allen, who made history with his performance.
Allen became the first player in NFL history to record 250-plus passing yards and two or more rushing touchdowns in a single quarter—a feat he accomplished in the fourth quarter.
The former Wyoming standout finished the game completing 33 of 46 passes for 394 yards and two passing touchdowns, along with 30 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
In recognition of his historic effort, the NFL announced Wednesday that Allen has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week, an honor he earned multiple times during his MVP campaign last season.

Josh Allen has been the heart and soul of Buffalo, and he has made it clear that his main goal is to bring the city its first-ever Super Bowl.
While winning the MVP was a personal milestone for the 29-year-old, a Lombardi Trophy is what truly drives him. He’s come close before but has been held back by one major obstacle: Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
"Being mentioned for MVP means your team is doing really well, probably in the hunt for the playoffs, and you're doing your job," he said on Hard Knocks. "It doesn't change my life to have that accolade or to have more of those accolades. The only thing that I'm worried about is doing everything I can to bring a Lombardi Trophy here."
Nonetheless, no matter how the previous season ended, every team has to start fresh the next year. For Buffalo, while the ultimate goal remains a Super Bowl, the immediate focus for Allen and the Bills is the New York Jets. The two teams are set to face off this Sunday in their first divisional matchup of the season.
