The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Denver Broncos on Christman Day during Thursday Night Football, the NFL announced on Monday. The game will be played during Week 17, likely the second of the two matchups the AFC West rivals will play this coming season.
Kansas City and Denver split their regular season series 1-1 during both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. However, the Chiefs have largely dominated the series over the past decade.

The game will be played in Arrowhead Stadium with kickoff slated at 8:15 p.m. live on Prime Video. If the two franchises have similar seasons as they did in 2024, this matchup will likely have playoff implications.
However, the Chiefs have had a strong run against the Broncos in Kansas City. In fact, the Broncos haven’t won at the Chiefs’ venue since 2015. Last season, the Chiefs blocked what would have been a game-winning field goal late in the fourth quarter to secure the victory in Arrowhead.
The last time Denver swept the season series was in 2014. Since then, the Chiefs have swept the season series for seven straight seasons — 16 consecutive matchups.
Their dominance coincided with the rise of the Chiefs’ dynasty with Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and company. That was on display especially in 2019 when they outscored the Broncos 53-9 in their two-game set. It wasn’t until Sean Payton took over in Denver that the Broncos were able to snap that streak, which began in 2016, in 2023.
That win in 2023, which came in Denver, was the Broncos first against Patrick Mahomes in 12 games. He won two Super Bowls before they were able to defeat him. However, the Broncos are poised to make it a more competitive rivalry moving forward after their 10-win playoff berth last season.
The Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles are set to play a game on Black Friday in the 2025 season, the NFL announced Monday. The game will be available via streaming on Amazon Prime.
This will mark the third NFL Black Friday game televised on Prime, which began the tradition in 2023. It will take place during Week 13 and marks the first time either team will play on the holiday.
Philadelphia is of course coming off of a Super Bowl victory this past season and will now have the task of defending its title. The Eagles will begin the 2025 season with a Thursday night game against NFC East rival the Dallas Cowboys, it was also announced.
