Key Points:
Cooper DeJean and the Philadelphia Eagles remain perfect to begin the 2025 NFL season, taking down Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-25 on the road in Week 4. DeJean had a nice day, tallying a team-high nine tackles while picking up three tackles for loss.
With 5:04 left in the first quarter of Eagles-Buccaneers, Mayfield completed a short pass to running back Rachaad White for 4 yards. DeJean made the tackle, wrapping White up by the legs, but after the whistle, he stepped over White and stared him down in celebration. The play drew a 15-yard taunting penalty, setting up Tampa Bay for a field goal.
On Saturday, the NFL announced that DeJean has been fined $11,593 for his taunt of White. A second taunting offense in 2025 would increase the penalty to $17,389.
This is not the first time an Eagles player has been fined for taunting this season. Linebacker Nolan Smith was charged $11,593 in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys, while defensive tackle Jalen Carter was fined the same amount in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Up next for DeJean and the Eagles, a Week 5 matchup against Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos in Philadelphia. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET and it will be shown in a majority of the country on CBS.
