The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for a Week 15 matchup against the Miami Dolphins, set to play on primetime.
Before the "Monday Night Football" matchup in Week 15, the NFL announced its final decisions on fines from the previous week.
Ahead of its matchup against the Dolphins, Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt received an unfortunate fine from the league office after the final call from gameday operations.
Watt was fined $11,593 for an unnecessary roughness penalty against the Baltimore Ravens in the Steelers' last matchup. The Steelers star had a late hit against the Ravens, just before Pittsburgh earned a 27-22 win over Baltimore.
He will have a chance to appeal the fine given for the offense from the season and the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers star hasn't received ongoing fines from the league.
Watt will have an immediate opportunity to appeal the fine.
T.J. Watt was recently on the front page of the paper after working through an unexpected surgery.
Watt suffered a partially collapsed lung and spent time in the hospital ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers' matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
While the Steelers are playing on primetime in their classic color rush uniforms, arguably their best player will be sidelined. Watt was ruled out several days before "Monday Night Football."
In the 2025 season with the Steelers, Watt has posted one interception, three forced fumbles and seven sacks. He's currently playing in his ninth year in Pittsburgh.
