The Houston Texans lost to the Seattle Seahawks on "Monday Night Football," 27-19. The Seahawks jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and Houston was not able to catch up.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba broke off with eight receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown and Zach Charbonnet scored two touchdowns on the ground.

For the Texans, CJ Stroud threw for 229 yards with one touchdown and an interception in the losing effort.

Derek Stingley, the No. 3 overall pick in 2022, had an interception during the game. Stingley was involved in an incident involving Smith-Njigba on the sidelines.

The Seahawks WR was going for the tackle when Stingley hit him with a stiff-arm and then was tackled out of bounds.

On Saturday, the NFL announced a fine of $11,593 for Stingley for an unnecessary roughness hit, via the NFL GameDay Operations.

Smith-Njigba was not fined for the sideline incident, but he did get fined  $14,491 for using a prop for a separate play in the first quarter.

Stingley has two interceptions on the season with 12 solo tackles, including this one in the Monday night game that led to the altercation.

The Texans CB signed a three-year, $90 million deal in the offseason and had five interceptions each of the past two seasons coming into 2025.

Besides Smith-Njigba and Stingley, nobody else was fined from the game.

The Texans dropped to 2-4 with the loss and face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8 as they try to get back on track after the loss.
