Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase has had a phenomenal career in the NFL thus far. Now in his fifth season, Chase has accumulated 474 receptions for 6,286 yards and 51 touchdowns. With these incredible stats, Chase has been named to four Pro Bowls and had one First-Team All-Pro selection.
So far in 2025, Chase has been great again. In 10 games, he has caught a league-leading 79 passes for 861 yards and five touchdowns.
On Sunday, in the Bengals' 34-12 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chase didn't have his best game, as he totaled just three receptions for 30 yards without finding the end zone.
During Sunday's matchup, Chase got in the face of Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey, as the pair exchanged words. The altercation led to Ramsey being ejected from the game, while Chase was able to stay in.
However, after the game, Ramsey told the media that Chase spat on him, leading to Ramsey being ejected. Chase denied this, saying, "I didn't spit on nobody."
On Monday, the NFL made a decision on the altercation, suspending Chase for one game.
"NFL suspended Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase for spitting at Steelers DB Jalen Ramsey," ESPN's Adam Schefter reported. "Chase denied spitting at Ramsey, but the league determined the video evidence was sufficient to warrant a suspension."

With this suspension, Chase will be forced to forfeit his game check of $448,333 and his $58,823 per game active bonus.
According to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, Chase will appeal the suspension from the league.
If he does not win the appeal, Chase will miss the Bengals' next game against the New England Patriots on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
