One of the biggest storylines in the NFL at the moment besides the 2025 Draft is former New York Jets veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers and where he will be playing in 2025.
In a recent episode of ESPN's First Take, former Jets and Dolphins general manager Mike Tannenbaum gave his thoughts on the whole situation surrounding Rodgers, and he had a very blunt message for the former NFL MVP.
"It's over guys... 'We want volunteers not hostages.' This is a guy that's disinterested in being an NFL quarterback... It's over," Tannenbaum said.
While it may at first seem harsh to say that a player of Rodgers' caliber is done playing in the NFL. But at 41 years old, he is running out of time, not just in the offseason to announce his decision, but in his career as a whole.
Rodgers is also coming off one of his worst seasons in the NFL finishing with his third-most interceptions in a season with 11. He took a season that many thought was going to be different for the Jets and turned it into a very disappointing one, as the team finished with a 5-12 record.
Many teams have grown disinterested in Rodgers as a result of the drama that he can often cause. While the Pittsburgh Steelers still seem to be in the market for the 41-year-old, they might not be for long if he continues to stall and not make a decision.
