NFL executive reveals Kansas City Chiefs might have officially stolen one coveted title from Dallas Cowboys

When the NFL schedule was released on Wednesday for the 2025 season, many were shocked to see that the Kansas City Chiefs have the most prime-time games out of all teams, with seven.

However, NFL Vice President of Broadcast Operations Mike North made a bold statement that confirmed exactly why the Chiefs got this honor.

"I think if anybody's paid attention, that's sort of what the Kansas City Chiefs schedule is these days. What have they won, three of the last six Super Bowls. That puts you into a non-routine scheduling formula," North explained. "Sunday's at noon are rare. There are actually four or five of them this year which is probably more then they're probably used to."

"I don't think the Chiefs are surprised. I don't think the Chiefs fans are surprised," he added. "Anybody's who's been watching football for the last few years knows."

But, he didn't stop there.

And his next comment is going to upset one major NFL fanbase.

"The Chiefs have almost kind of surpassed the Cowboys as the bell cow," North stated. "This is what happens when your pop culture is part of the fabric of the country right now. And this is par for the course for the Chiefs."

Of course, by pop culture, he is referencing Taylor Swift.

So, does that make Kansas City the new "America's Team," in the words of the Up and Adams Show?

The Cowboys will most definitely have something to say about this, having held that title since 1978, when it was coined by Bob Ryan, a producer for NFL Films. And the name has clearly stuck.

However, the argument being made here is because the Cowboys have struggled and haven't won a Super Bowl since 1996, do they still deserve that moniker? Or, should it go to Kansas City, who have won three Super Bowls in five years?

Let the debate begin....
