The Jacksonville Jaguars (7-4) entered Sunday's matchup with the Tennessee Titans (1-10) with a chance to tie the Indianapolis Colts (8-3) for first place in the AFC South by the end of the NFL's 1:00 p.m. ET slate.

The Colts are playing the Houston Texans (6-5) at the same time, and the Texans are up 20-16 in the fourth quarter as of this writing. Meanwhile, quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars are up 25-3 on the Titans in the fourth.

If those results hold, both Jacksonville and Indianapolis will be 8-4 atop the AFC South by late afternoon. However, the Jaguars got sidetracked with a fight just before halftime on Sunday.

Tennessee linebacker Arden Key hit Lawrence several seconds after he threw an incomplete with no time left in the second quarter. Multiple Jacksonville players then surrounded Key on the sideline, and punches were thrown.

Key was flagged for a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty, and Jaguars kicker Cam Little hit a 45-yard field goal to give them an 18-3 halftime lead.

NFL Could Punish Players for Fighting

Whenever NFL players fight, they usually get fined and sometimes suspended. For example, the league charged San Francisco 49ers receiver Jauan Jennings $12,172 for a scuffle with Carolina Panthers safety Tre'von Moehrig in their Week 12 "Monday Night Football" matchup, per NBC Sports' Matt Maiocco.

"I was just responding to some childish behavior," Jennings said postgame. "That was just out of nowhere . . . I play hard. I'm physically stronger than a lot of DBs out there, and a lot of things happen in between the whistles, with me at least."

Additionally, the NFL suspended Moehrig for one game without pay.

Any NFL game can get chippy, but especially divisional matchups. Although the Titans aren't competitive this season, they still don't like the Jaguars, and vice-versa.

After Sunday's game, Jacksonville will host Indianapolis in Week 14 and the New York Jets in Week 15. After that, the Jaguars will play the Denver Broncos and Colts on the road before hosting the Titans to cap the regular season.

With three of its remaining five games against division rivals, Jacksonville has a chance to win its first AFC South title since 2022. That was also the last time it made the playoffs, as it beat the Los Angeles Chargers 31-30 in the Wild Card Game before losing 27-20 to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Game.
