NFL Free Agency: Should Falcons Re-Sign WR Hollins?
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons have some decisions to make this offseason in regards to their receiving corps.

Among the players the Falcons must decide to keep or let walk is veteran Mack Hollins, who followed a career-best 2022 with an average 2023 in Atlanta.

"After a career year in Las Vegas in 2022 (57 catches, 690 yards), Hollins never found any traction in Atlanta’s passing game despite the Falcons’ dearth of wide receivers. He had 18 catches for 251 yards, but it’s unclear how much of that can be pinned on Hollins and how much was due to Atlanta’s quarterback problems and overall lack of offensive fluidity," The Athletic writes. "When healthy (he was slowed by an ankle injury midway through the season), Hollins was a key special teams player, and that alone gives him some value on the free-agent market."

With new coach Raheem Morris, the Falcons' quarterback situation is bound to change for the 2024 season ... but the question is, will Hollins be around to see the new look offense?

Hollins could provide a young quarterback with a stable receiver who has experience in a number of different systems across the NFL. Add on his special teams expertise and Hollins could remain with the Falcons for the upcoming season. However, with all the change going on in Atlanta, it may end up being one-and-done for Hollins.
