If there was ever any lingering debate about who "America’s Team'' is, the 2025 NFL schedule just ended it.
The Dallas Cowboys are the only team in the league asked to play three games in a 10-day span this season. That’s not speculation — that’s fact.
Last year, 10 teams were forced into that brutal window. This year, it’s just one. One out of 32. And of course, it’s Dallas.
The league claimed it was trying to cut back on that kind of scheduling stress. They said it wasn’t sustainable. They said they were listening to the beat-down players. But somehow, the Cowboys drew the short straw again — a stretch that no one else in the league is dealing with.
And it doesn’t stop there. Buried inside the full slate is something else most of us missed at first glance: the Cowboys are playing back-to-back Monday Night Football games, in Week 9 and Week 11, with a bye sandwiched in between.
All of this on top of already playing the most Thursday night games in NFL history (4).
That’s rare. And it’s telling.
The NFL isn’t just "scheduling Dallas.'' They’re featuring them. In the spotlight. In the grinder. Again.
It's a compliment, no doubt. The world wants to watch your beloved team.
To cheer or to boo, but definitely to watch.
And why?
Because whether it’s fair or not, the Cowboys drive prime time — and the league is making sure they stay in the thick of it, no matter the cost to the aforementioned beaten-down player.
