One of the best players on the field for the Jacksonville Jaguars during their Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings was linebacker Foyesade Oluokun.
He finished the game with 11 tackles, one pass deflection, and a big interception. Unfortunately, the NFL is now fineing him for an action he committed during the game.
The NFL handed out 27 fines from the Week 10 slate of games. One of which was to Jaguars LB Foyesade Oluokun, who was fined a hefty $16,883.00. This was tied with Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens for the third most expensive fine of the week. This was one of two fines given out to the Jaguars this week. The league also fined Oluokun's fellow Jaguars defender, Travon Walker.
He was fined for a blindside block in the third quarter of the team's loss to the Vikings. In addition to the officials throwing the flag on the play, the NFL deemed it to be "Unnecessary Roughness." Hopefully, Oluokun can build off his strong performance in Week 10 and not allow this fine to ruin any momentum he gained last week. Next up, the Jaguars have the red-hot Detroit Lions, so they will need Oluokun and the rest of the roster in peak form if they are going to pull off the upset.
