The majority of Seattle's roster is set for the 2025 season, but it could still look to make some additions if they make sense.
Cornerback is a position where the Seahawks could use some more quality depth. Riq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon are a great duo, but there's not much else at the position for Seattle to hang its hat on, especially with Tre Brown recently jumping ship to the rival San Francisco 49ers.
With Witherspoon performing so well in the slot, it would be nice if the Seahawks could land a true boundary CB so Witherspoon wouldn't have to split time between the two areas. NFL insider Matt Bowen believes that veteran free agent Rasul Douglas could be that guy for them.
"In Seattle, Douglas would compete with Josh Jobe for the No. 3 corner spot and provide overall depth in a secondary that likes to mix zone coverage (Cover 2 and Cover 3) with its man schemes. Douglas is a physical corner with the length to disrupt the ball in the air and the willingness to set an edge against the run (five tackles for loss last season). He has the necessary skills to play zone coverage, and he uses his 6-foot-2 frame to challenge receivers on the perimeter. Douglas returned one of his five interceptions for a touchdown in 2023, and he had five pass breakups last season." -- Matt Bowen
Douglas actually met with Seattle just last week, but left without a signing a contract. The Seahawks also recently held discussions with CB Shaquille Griffin, who they drafted back in 2017. Douglas has spent the last two seasons with the Buffalo Bills.
He has had a solid eight-year NFL career, recording 441 total tackles, 79 passes defensed, 19 interceptions (three returned for touchdowns, three forced fumbles, and two sacks. It's a bit puzzling that someone with his experience and production is still unsigned. Douglas would provide instant leadership for the Seahawks' secondary while providing them with quality play.
