The Bills should be all-in on getting to the Super Bowl in 2025.
After coming up just short each of the past five years, it's time for Buffalo to get over the hump, even if that means taking a risk. NFL insider Dan Graziano has proposed that the bills do just that and offer a 2026 second-round draft pick to the Cincinnati Bengals for All-Pro defensive end Trey Hendrickson.
"The Bengals have made it clear they don't want to give away Hendrickson, so I'm not even sure the Bills' (likely late) second-rounder would be enough. But if the Bengals' demands drop, I could see Buffalo pouncing to secure the veteran edge rusher it needs to take down Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs. With offseason pickup Joey Bosa already injured, this move would help the Bills' pass rush add a stronger, healthier option. Hendrickson might not get the new contract of his dreams, but perhaps Bills general manager Brandon Beane could sell him on an improved chance to get to the Super Bowl." --Dan Graziano
Giving away a high draft pick can be intimidating, but it's something teams often do when they feel that their championship window is often. Not to mention, Hendrickson is in his prime and is coming off the best season of his career, leading the NFL in sacks in 2024 with 17.5
As Graziano eludes to, Bosa cannot be depended on to always be available. Bringing Hendrickson into the fold would ease the blow if Bosa has to miss significant time. When Bosa is healthy, imagine the havoc the two could create together.
Having an elite pass rush will be crucial to Buffalo taking down teams such as the Bengals, Chiefs, and Baltimore Ravens. Hendrickson has recorded double-digit sacks in four of his last five seasons.
