NFL Insider Reveals Potential Browns Draft Plan at No. 2
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

What the Cleveland Browns do at No. 2 in the upcoming NFL Draft will have a ripple effect on the rest of the first round, and maybe even later.

The NFL world has come to the realization that the Tennessee Titans will draft Miami's Cam Ward No. 1 overall on April 24, leaving an opportunity for the Browns to get a quarterback at No. 2 - likely Colorado's Shedeur Sanders.

But Sanders' draft stock has oddly fallen over the past month or so, and now, Cleveland might pass on a QB that high. But Adam Schefter noted on his podcast recently that he doesn't think they'll completely pass on a signal caller.

"They're going to take a quarterback high," Schefter said. "I don't expect it to be at No. 2, barring some sort of upset. I think Travis Hunter feels like the pick ... They're going to take a quarterback, but I think they are more inclined to do it on the second day, if they don't trade up back into the first round."

The Browns hold the first pick of the second round, too, No. 33 overall. Schefter noted that it could be a landing spot for a quarterback for Cleveland.

While the first round takes place on Thursday night, the second and third rounds will be on Friday, the 25th. And Schefter thinks it's entirely possible that Cleveland launches Round 2 with a quarterback - either Louisville's Tyler Shough, Alabama's Jalen Milroe or Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart.
