NFL insider reveals that Pittsburgh's locker room is frustrated with the Steelers brass regarding the quarterback situation

Here we sit with the NFL Draft approaching next week, and the Pittsburgh Steelers have yet to find a quarterback outside of Mason Rudolph.

A saga built for Hollywood, there have been a lot of twists, turns, and optimism, but still no finality.

And according to one NFL insider, that's starting to rub players and staffers the wrong way...

Members of the Steelers organization are getting frustrated with the lack of a QB decision

"From everything I’ve been told, is not solely to Cam Heyward," said NFL insider Tom Pelissero on the Rich Eisen Show in terms of frustration within the Steelers organization. "There are other people, certainly in the organization, the locker room, who are just going like, ‘What are we doing? We’re back for off-season workouts in 10 days. We’re coming up on the draft. What is the plan?'”

Pelissero's comments on Heyward's frustrations stem from when he sent a clear message to the front office shortly after his comments on Aaron Rodgers and the quarterback situation went viral..

“I think we’re in a state of urgency," Heyward told the Rich Eisen Show. "We have a lot of guys, like myself, that are in the latter stages of their career and we all want to win. It’s not just enough to win a playoff game, which we haven’t won in a couple of years, and there’s a bad taste in our mouth because of that...

"I ain’t doing that darkness retreat. I don’t need any of that crap. Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don’t," Heyward said of Rodgers on his podcast. "That’s simple, that’s the pitch. If you want me to recruit, that’s the recruiting pitch. Pittsburgh Steelers if you want to be part of it, so be it. If you don’t, no skin off my back.”

So it appears that, as one may expect, Heyward speaks for the vast majority of the Steelers roster. He knows they have a finite amount of time, and pondering who your starting QB will be in April is the last place Heyward, T.J. Watt, and Minkah Fitzpatrick want to be, yet it's exactly where they find themselves.
