During his time there, Irvin totaled 143 receptions for 2,423 yards and 26 touchdowns and won a national title with the Hurricanes in 1987.

After his impressive career in college, Irvin was selected with the 11th overall pick in the 1988 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, where he became a star. Irvin played 12 years in the NFL, all of which came with the Cowboys.

In his career, the 6-foot-2 wideout caught 750 passes for 11,904 yards and 65 touchdowns. He made five Pro Bowl appearances, was a three-time All-Pro selection and won three Super Bowl titles with Dallas.

The former Hurricanes star has been in the spotlight recently, as his alma mater has made its way through the College Football Playoff. Miami clinched its spot in the CFP National Championship Game against the Indiana Hoosiers, and Irvin has been on the sidelines cheering on his former team throughout the postseason.

On Wednesday, Irvin made some more news, as Netflix announced that the company was partnering with the NFL legend to begin a new podcast titled "The White House with Michael Irvin."

"The White House with Michael Irvin, a new original sports video podcast, is coming to Netflix in The US on January 19. It will tackle current sports news, game analysis, and commentary with two episodes a week, featuring a rotating roster of co-hosts, including former NFL All-Pro wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who will also produce the show," the caption read.

This podcast, which will begin on Jan. 19, will feature Irvin speaking on current news around the sports world two times per week with a rotating cast of co-hosts, including former NFL wideout Brandon Marshall, who will also produce the show for Netflix.
