Michael Strahan enjoyed 15 memorable NFL seasons with the New York Giants, playing 226 games from 1993-2007.

As a player, Strahan was renowned for unwavering strength and precision in his defensive output — highlighted by a record-setting 22.5 sacks in 2001. By the time he retired in June 2008, he had racked up a career total of 141.5 regular-season sacks and 9.5 in the postseason.

In 2014, the 2008 Super Bowl winner was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, further cementing his ironclad legacy as an NFL great.

Since retiring, the former defensive end has explored an array of media ventures, appearing on “Fox NFL Sunday” as a football analyst and co-host. His excursions extend beyond gridiron coverage, joining “Good Morning America” and hosting “The $100,000 Pyramid” game show.

Now, Strahan is seeking to merge his media and sporting expertise in a brand-new documentary on flag football, “The Future Is Flag.”

Strahan’s involvement stems from SMAC Entertainment, an Emmy-nominated talent management company he co-founded in 2011 alongside Constance Schwartz-Morini. Several high-profile names are represented by the agency, including Deion Sanders, Stefon Diggs and Travis Hunter.

The show focuses on the growth and potential of women’s flag football by tracking the careers of two SMAC-affiliated athletes, Mexico quarterback Diana Flores and USA center Ashlea Klam, through their parallel journeys to flag football stardom.

Both Flores and Klam stand as major figures in domestic and international flag football; Flores has clinched two gold medals at the World Games, while Klam led the U.S. to IFAF Women’s Flag Football World Championship glory in 2024 — just one year after becoming the youngest player (19 years old) to represent her national team.

Throughout the documentary, viewers can expect to gain fresh insight into one of the most heated sporting rivalries in women’s sports between USA and Mexico as both nations prepare for a historic debut for flag football at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

“The Future Is Flag” is available for streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.

In addition to this latest program, Strahan's SMAC has overseen other projects such as “Coach Prime," “Evolution of the Black Quarterback," “BS High” and “It’s In The Game: Madden NFL."
