Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick shared an update about his career on Thursday as he introduced a new business venture.

The former NFL quarterback posted on Instagram to announce his water brand, V7HYDRATION. He wrote, “I want to introduce everyone to my new water brand V7HYDRATION. We’re Excited on what 2026 has in store for us. Follow us at @v7hydration.”

V7HYDRATION is designed with a high pH for clean hydration. The brand aims to fuel athletes, creators, and anyone pushing hard, helping support energy and performance at every level.

The announcement comes while Vick continues his work as head coach of the Norfolk State Spartans.

Vick is best known for his NFL career, in which he played 13 seasons and possessed both running and passing abilities. He finished his football career with 22,464 passing yards and 6,109 rushing yards, which was the most by a quarterback at the time.

Vick began at Virginia Tech and became the first overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft with the Atlanta Falcons. He later returned with the Philadelphia Eagles and won Comeback Player of the Year in 2010. He has also played for the New York Jets (2014) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (2015), and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2025.

In addition to his business ventures, Vick has focused on athlete wellness and mentorship programs. He partners with brands that promote health and intentional living.

Now at Norfolk State, Vick focuses on teaching players and helping them improve. He has been clear about his purpose in coaching. “I don't look at this as charity,” he said. “I look at it as pouring into young men who want to learn.”
