Former NFL quarterback and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has taken another step into his post-football career.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion announced Monday he is joining eMed, a digital health startup, as its new chief wellness officer. Brady announced the move on his Instagram account.

"I’m proud to serve as @emedverified’s Chief Wellness Officer," Brady captioned his post. "We’re working on something that I believe really matters, improving population health at scale so that people can feel better, perform better, and protect their long-term health. Let’s go!"

eMed is a digital health platform focused on managing the delivery and cost of weight-loss medications like GLP-1s. Brady will also serve on the company’s board of directors, according to a Bloomberg report.

The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback will help eMed expand its reach after the company shifted from selling COVID-19 tests to managing the cost of popular weight-loss medications.

Brady's appointment comes amid surging national interest in GLP-1 weight-loss drugs, which eMed helps employers manage through its telehealth services.

Brady's new role focuses on building awareness for eMed’s offerings, positioning the NFL icon at the forefront of an intersection of wellness, technology and employee health benefits.

The announcement followed Brady’s appearance on Fox's broadcast of Sunday’s wild-card matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers.

The Fox broadcast showed Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni having a sideline exchange with star wide receiver A.J. Brown. Brady tried to calm everybody down with his live reaction to the action developing on the field.

“Just a little colorful with his star wideout,” Brady said. “They have a great relationship. Kind of makes a lot of that. I think it’s two great competitors in the heat of the moment. They know how much they care for one another.”

Monday's announcement adds to Brady’s growing portfolio of wellness-focused business ventures following his NFL retirement in 2023.
