  • Tom Brady teased a Netflix roast sequel but revealed something else instead.
  • The announcement promoted a new endorsement, not another comedy roast.
  • Brady continues as a Fox Sports NFL analyst and is confirmed for Week 10 game coverage.

Tom Brady is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback in NFL history. The 48-year-old, who retired for a second time in 2023, earned this honor after 23 seasons in the NFL that saw him amass, among other things, 15 Pro Bowl nods, three All-Pro selections, two Offensive Player of the Year wins, three MVP titles, five Super Bowl MVP trophies and, of course, no less than seven Super Bowl championships.

These days, Brady has been preoccupied with his role as a top NFL analyst for Fox Sports. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend also purchased a minority stake to become a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Brady has remained a very prominent figure in mainstream media since he hung up his boots two years ago. In 2024, he took center stage in Netflix’s “The Roast of Tom Brady” as he let comedians, former teammates and even a couple of former coaches insult him in front of a live audience and for millions of fans to see on the highly popular streaming platform.

Brady was mercilessly trolled throughout the program, and this was one of the reasons why the show was so successful. So much so that even Brady himself recently hinted that there would be a sequel to what some have called the greatest roast of all time.

On Friday, the future Hall of Famer took to social media to tease a potential second roast.

“You know what, I think I’m ready for another roast,” he said. “… Yeah, I think I can handle it. You don’t think I can?”

He further hyped the supposed roast with his caption: “Just like my rings, one wasn’t enough. 10.21 ”

Brady said in his post that something was coming on Tuesday, Oct. 21. He’s now made the big reveal, but apparently, it was an entirely different roast he was talking about. The former New England Patriots star announced via Instagram that he’s endorsing an air fryer.

“Just not that kind of roast,” he said. “This one’s faster, cleaner and I don’t wince in pain at any point.

“Meet the new Ninja Crispi Pro.”

As it turns out, there won’t be a sequel to his Netflix roast. Brady was, in fact, talking about a roasted chicken the whole time, in line with his endorsement deal with global household products brand SharkNinja.

Brady is promoting the Nina Crispi Pro 6-in-1 Countertop Air Fryer, which retails on SharkNinja's website for $279.99. According to the NFL icon, the best part of the kitchen appliance is that “this is non-toxic, unlike the last roast.”

While Brady will not be back on the Netflix stage for another roast — or at least not yet — fans can still catch him in Fox Sports’ coverage of “Sunday Night Football” alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt and sideline reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi.

As of writing, no schedule has been listed on the Fox Sports website for Brady in Weeks 8 and 9. However, it has been confirmed that he will be on the call for the Week 10 Detroit Lions-Washington Commanders game on Nov. 9.
