NFL Legend Tom Brady Shares Announcement Away From Football
Jeff Lange / USA TODAY NETWORK

Tom Brady, after winning seven Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is now in his second season with Fox Sports’ lead broadcast team alongside Kevin Burkhardt and Erin Andrews. And in Week 7, he was in Arlington, Texas, as the Dallas Cowboys defeated NFC East rival Washington Commanders 44-22 in “America’s Game of the Week.”

After his playing career, Brady has remained active in the sports world. He recently expanded his sports card chain, CardVault by Tom Brady, with several new locations on the way. He’s also invested in multiple teams, including a 5% stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, minority ownership of the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, and a share of Birmingham City FC in England.

Brady became a minority owner of the soccer club in 2023, also taking on the role of chairman of its advisory board. The club, led by its U.S.-based ownership group, has been planning a new 62,000-seat stadium to replace its current venue, St. Andrew’s, which holds 29,409 fans. And on Tuesday, Birmingham City FC took a major step forward for the new Sports Quarter, unveiling the stadium design and architect team.

"Chairman, Tom Wagner, has named Heatherwick Studio and MANICA as the Sports Quarter stadium design and architect team," Birmingham City FC wrote on Instagram.

"Speaking at the Regional Investment Summit in Edgbaston alongside Chancellor Rachel Reeves, Blues’ co-owner outlined the stadium collaboration, which will see multi-award-winning British designers Heatherwick Studio partner with Kansas-based architectural powerhouse MANICA. They will be supported by Steven Knight, the iconic film writer/director and lifelong Blues fan.

"This exciting partnership has vowed to deliver a project that will be 'truly extraordinary, recognisable around the globe, yet rooted in the history of Birmingham'. Further details, including design imagery of the stadium will be released in the coming weeks."

Brady has voiced his support for the new stadium project, even hoping that the $3.9 billion venue could host a Super Bowl one day. And following Birmingham City’s announcement, Brady shared the post on his Instagram Story, hinting that big things are on the way.

"And big things coming at @bcfc," Brady wrote.

While it is unclear what game Brady will call in Week 8, his next scheduled assignment is in Week 10 when the Washington Commanders host the Detroit Lions.
