The Philadelphia Eagles are rolling through OTAs, and before fans know it, training camp and preseason will get underway.
Eagles fans already know the gauntlet of a regular season schedule the team will face. The league set the team up with challenging tasks, including not having any back-to-back home games and an end-of-season schedule that features the Buffalo Bills and the Washington Commanders twice in three weeks.
The NFL has released its 2025 preseason schedule. There are some good things that came with the schedule, but one aspect of the schedule has some questioning the decisions made at the league office.
On Thursday, the preseason schedules for all 32 NFL teams were released. NFL insider Ian Rapoport shared the schedule for each team, including the teams they would play and when they would play, through the three-week schedule.

Philadelphia will be given two home games for the preseason with being being within the first two weeks before hitting the road. Here is how the preseason schedule looks for the Eagles:
The Eagles get a nice break being at home for the first two weeks instead of having to travel to Ohio for both games. Their annual preseason matchup against the New York Jets will not be a bad trip, as East Rutherford, New Jersey, is only two hours from Philadelphia.
Now comes the part where the NFL missed the mark; the Eagles will not be on national television at all during preseason. Most likely, their games will be featured on NFL Network for the rest of the country, except locally in Philadelphia.
Football fans will be able to see the Eagles in prime time five times this season, but not on national television is a miss from the NFL. They are the defending Super Bowl champions with plenty of headlines to attract the average football fan to watch their preseason matchups.
While there will be those Eagles haters who will love to know that they don't have to watch them on the major networks, it'll be a disappointment for the fans who live around the country and want to see their team.
At least the good news is their preseason schedule will prevent them from doing much travel. Hopefully it will result in a perfect 3-0 record to build momentum going into their regular season debut match with the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys.
