Now that the NFL draft cycle is over, there is a lull in the action until training camp starts which means the league gets to complete its housekeeping items.
Currently, the NFL is slowly rolling out the 2025 regular season for a year that will feature the most international games ever on the slate.
The league has been trying to expand the sport further across Europe than just England and they’ve successfully done that in the past few years.
They’ve held games in a multitude of countries like Spain, Germany, Brazil, and even Ireland.
The NFL announced that in the 2025 season they will play their first ever game in Berlin, Germany after playing the previous games in that country in Frankfurt.
The NFL revealed that the Indianapolis Colts will take on the Atlanta Falcons in Berlin.

This is an interesting matchup that will feature two unproven quarterbacks and very little star power on both sides.
One would think that the league would try to get its biggest and most marketable stars on the global stage, but they are content with less glamorous matchups.
The decision to match the Colts up with the Falcons speaks about the league as a whole.
They have been praised endlessly for their support of small market teams unlike the NBA and MLB.
In those leagues, the biggest markets get all the stars and the small market teams are forced to build through nearly perfect drafting.
The NFL’s support of small market teams are why the league thrives so well.
