NFL Makes Justin Herbert Announcement After Chargers Game

Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers made it back-to-back wins on Sunday after a 27-20 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Herbert had another noteworthy outing by registering 19-of-29 completed passes for 250 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

It was not a mind-blowing performance from Herbert, but it was enough to carry the Chargers to victory against a Titans side that has won just once in nine games played this season. L.A., on the other hand, has improved to 6-3 after Sunday’s victory. They remain second in the AFC West against the 7-2 Denver Broncos, who secured their sixth straight win on Sunday.

Herbert is having another big year for the Chargers. In nine games played this season, the Pro Bowl quarterback has 220-of-325 completed passes (67.7%) for 2,390 yards, 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also has 46 carries for 305 rushing yards and one TD.

On Sunday, Herbert rewrote the NFL history books. He climbed the ranks for the most passing yards by a player in their first six seasons in the league.

Herbert now has 23,483 passing yards under his belt after 88 games played. Up next on the list for him is Andrew Luck, who registered 23,671 yards in his first six seasons in the NFL. The all-time record currently belongs to Peyton Manning, who amassed 24,885 passing yards in 96 games played.

Herbert’s next chance to climb the leaderboards will be on Sunday, Nov. 10. The Chargers will return home to host Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers at SoFi Stadium, with kickoff scheduled at 8:20 p.m. ET.
