The Detroit Lions moved to 8-5 with a 44-30 win over the Dallas Cowboys on "Thursday Night Football."
The Lions had a 20-9 lead at halftime and scored 24 second-half points to get the win. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs had three touchdowns, David Montgomery had one, and Jared Goff had the other as the running game led the way.
On Thanksgiving Day, the Lions fell to the Green Bay Packers, 31-24, and Dan Campbell's team scored just one field goal in the final quarter of that one.
With the Lions fighting for a playoff spot, getting a win over the Cowboys is a big boost for their chances.

The Lions have alternated wins and losses since the win against the Cincinnati Bengals on October 5.
Here is how the last couple of months have gone for Detroit:
This season, they have yet to lose back-to-back games. In fact, the Lions have not lost back-to-back games since the 2022 season, Campbell's second year as head coach.
That year, they began with a 1-6 record, which included five straight losses before finishing the year at 9-8.
Somehow, the Lions haven't lost back-to-back games and continue to find ways to respond.
In Week 15, they face the Los Angeles Rams on the road in a big NFC showdown.
