The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a hard-fought Week 4 victory over the Indianapolis Colts to improve to 3-1. Now, on a short week, they’re gearing up for a divisional clash with the San Francisco 49ers on "Thursday Night Football."

Ahead of the matchup, the NFL announced big news regarding Rams star wide receiver Puka Nacua, who is in his third season and playing as well as anyone at the position through the first four games.

On Wednesday, Nacua was officially named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week, joining Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who earned the AFC honor.

Nacua is coming off a dominant performance against the Colts, hauling in 13 receptions for 170 yards and a touchdown while averaging 13.1 yards per catch.

Fans reacted to Nacua winning the weekly honor:

"Samoan King PUKA NACUA," a fan said.

Someone else added, "He is the best! Our Puka Nacua."

Another person wrote, "Well deserved!!"

"BYU’s finest, Puka Nacua," a fan shared.

One more fan commented, "Best WR in the NFL."

The Rams selected Puka Nacua in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL draft out of BYU, and he quickly burst onto the scene as one of the premier wide receivers in the league.

Nacua already has 42 receptions for 503 yards this season and is currently on pace to surpass 2,000 receiving yards if he maintains his current production. What makes his hot start even more impressive is that he’s sharing the field with Davante Adams, whom the Rams acquired this offseason after his long run as one of the NFL’s elite receivers.

Los Angeles now turns its attention to a shorthanded 49ers squad on Thursday night. San Francisco will be without starting quarterback Brock Purdy, as well as wide receivers Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings.
