It's been an odd season for the Kansas City Chiefs, led by head coach Andy Reid.
The Chiefs are 6-6 on the season. They came into the year looking to fight for a Super Bowl, but right now, they're fighting for a chance to compete in the postseason.
Kansas City recently had a few major tests. They faced the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12 and the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13. Nearly every game is a must-win for the Chiefs moving forward.
In their earlier matchup against the Colts, Kansas City defeated Indianapolis 23-20.
They followed that with a loss to the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.
After the matchup against Dallas, the NFL announced their final decisions on penalties and fines from Week 12.
Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie was fined for an unnecessary roughness penalty. McDuffie was on the wrong end of a face mask penalty against the Colts and will now have to give up $11,593 due to the NFL's fine.
The Kansas City Chiefs received two fines after their matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.
While Trent McDuffie was the headliner due to the amount of the fine, Chiefs offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia was also fined.
Suamataia was fined $8,108 for a blindsided block that occurred against the Colts. This penalty occurred in the fourth quarter of the game and was ruled unnecessary roughness in favor of Indianapolis.
These players have a chance to appeal their case following the NFL's punishment decisions.
