NFL 'MNF' Week 13: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cincinnati Bengals betting picks, preview

The Week 13 NFL slate comes to a close on "Monday Night Football" with the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting the Cincinnati Bengals in an AFC showdown. Let's break down the matchup and find some winning bets for "MNF."

Spread: Jaguars -10, Over/under: 40, Moneyline: Jaguars -500 | Bengals +385

Oddsmakers and bettors alike aren't giving Cincinnati much of a chance in this matchup. The Jaguars have taken money all week, and they're now a 10-point home favorite against the Joe Burrow-less Bengals.

Bengals fans got their first taste of life without Burrow last week in a 16-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Backup quarterback Jake Browning wasn't bad in his first NFL start. The rookie went 19-26 for 227 yards and a touchdown, but he did throw an interception and lead the offense to only two third-down conversions on 10 tries. The biggest issue was the running game, as Cincy managed just 25 rushing yards against Pittsburgh's stacked box.

The Jaguars are a different story. Jacksonville has won seven of its last eight games to take control of the AFC South. Trevor Lawrence, after a mediocre start to the season, is starting to come alive. The QB has racked up 643 total yards and six total touchdowns over the last two weeks.

Lawrence has another friendly matchup on Monday night, but look for the Jags to pound the rock with Travis Etienne against a Bengals defense that ranks 31st in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game.

'Monday Night Football' betting picks

Bengals +10 (-110 DraftKings)

We don't expect the Bengals to win this game outright, but this spread has gotten a bit too high. Browning was efficient in his first start last week, and he still has explosive weapons in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to help him generate big plays.

The Bengals are still in playoff contention, so they're not giving up on the season just yet. This is still a talented roster with one missing piece, but Browning can create enough points to cover this massive spread.

Joe Mixon under 49.5 rushing yards (-110 FanDuel)

If the Jaguars watch any film from last week's Bengals-Steelers game, they should be able to shut Mixon down in this matchup. Pittsburgh loaded the line of scrimmage and forced Browning to beat them through the air, and the rookie wasn't able to do it. Mixon finished the game with just 16 rushing yards on eight carries.

The Jags rank third in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game, and they should be able to turn the Bengals into a one-dimensional offense.
