Los Angeles Chargers safety Derwin James had an awesome interception off Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud before it was overturned.

James picked Stroud off in the end zone but after review, it was ruled that he didn't survive the ground.

Take a look

This would've given the Chargers a huge takeaway but instead, the Texans got the ball back and added a field goal to make it a 13-6 game.

Fans are crushing the game's officials for overturning the call.

"That's replay doing way too much He had control all the way. No angle whatsoever to overturn. Whatever happened to clear and obvious?" one fan tweeted

"They stole that man’s interception. Wow. That was too close to overturn, no?" another tweet read.

"What an absolutely horrible call by the refs. I don’t see anything in the replay that clearly showed the ball touching the ground with Derwin James losing control. How do you overturn that?" another tweet read.

"I thought it was close, and moving in Derwin James hands, but I didn't think they'd overturn that," another fan tweeted.

"That’s an INT. There’s no video evidence to overturn that. Derwin got robbed big time," another tweet read.

"I don’t know man, doesn’t seem like there was enough to overturn it," another fan tweeted.

Things went from bad to worse for the Chargers after this since Justin Herbert threw a pick-six, extending the Texans' lead to 20-6 late in the third quarter.

Herbert then threw another pick on the Chargers' next drive, leading to the Texans extending their lead to 23-6.

It's been a brutal game for the Chargers offense and they'll need to start making plays in the fourth quarter if they have any hope of coming back.

The winner of this game will move on to play in the divisional round of the playoffs next weekend.

You can watch the rest of this contest on CBS. Jim Nantz and Charles Davis have the call.
