NFL Owner Turned Heads Over 'Extremely Good' Evaluation

In the midst of a difficult season, Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper offered a silver lining in his evaluation of the team's management.

Tepper, who purchased the Panthers in 2018 for $2.2 billion, believes the franchise is building "something special" between head coach Dave Canales, general manager Dan Morgan and executive vice president of football operations Brandt Tilis.

The 67-year-old owner views them as an "extremely good management team."

Carolina carries a 3-11 record this season and are on a four-game losing streak. Second-year quarterback and former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young, who was benched briefly in favor of backup Andy Dalton, has shown improvement over the past month.

Tepper also has his fair share of critics. While there were some replies offering support and appreciation of his patience, many Panthers fans reacted with frustration as well.

"Positivity from Tepper?? Are we back??" said one fan.

"They should definitely let Dan Morgan go. We can use him back in Buffalo. There's a spot waiting on the staff for Kuechly too," shared another, voicing his displeasure.

"7 straight losing seasons. And the last 2 have been the worst. Vying to be as bad a franchise as the Hornets," replied a fan.

"Love to hear this. Glad he understands this isn’t an overnight process. Hoping the trio of Dan, Brandt and Canales are the right guys to have us competing to win at a high level year in and year out.#KeepPounding," said a more optimistic fan.

"Very encouraging quote by Tepper. He sees the vision and seems like he will be patient," said an encouraged fan.

Tepper must continue to work hard to improve the fortunes of their franchise's polarized fan base.
