NFL pass-rushing legend Lawrence Taylor: 'That Micah Parsons is special'

There are many who watched Micah Parsons absolutely light it up for the Dallas Cowboys as a rookie and saw a young Lawrence "LT" Taylor.

It was all there. The pass-rushing ability. The ability to play anywhere on the field. The speed. The agility.

The sacks.

Taylor was the NFL's 1981 Defensive Player of the Year as a rookie. Parsons wasn't the overall Defensive Player of the Year last season, but he was the Defensive Rookie of the Year as well as the overall Rookie of the Year after notching 13 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, 30 quarterback hits, and three forced fumbles last season.

Taylor notched 9.5 sacks in his rookie season.

So yes, the comparisons were there, and they came to the forefront on Monday Night Football when Parsons' Cowboys took on Taylor's old team, the New York Giants.

Taylor was actually at the game and had a chance to see Parsons play live.

His thoughts about the Dallas superstar when all was said and done?

"That Micah Parsons is special," LT Tweeted. Can't wait to see everything you achieve young man."

Parsons finished with one tackle and two quarterback hits against the Giants.
