The Indianapolis Colts fell short in Week 8, losing to the Houston Texans for the second time this season.
Things got even worse for one Colts player with the news of the NFL fining linebacker Grant Stuard for an action he committed in Week 8.

The NFL fined Stuard $5,861.11 for "Unnecessary Roughness" due to an illegal use of his helmet. The play occurred in the third quarter of their Week 8 loss against the Texans.
Stuard ended Week 8 with just two total tackles after setting a new career high just a week ago with 18 against the Miami Dolphins in Week 7. The NFL handed out 26 total fines from Week 8, 22 of which were for "Unnecessary Roughness." Stuard's $5,861.11 fine was the eighth cheapest given out by the league in Week 8.
The league is only going to get more strict from here on out in terms of tackles in which the defender utilizes their helmet to make a play. So, let this be a lesson for Stuard and other players around the league, who need to alter the method by which they tackle ball carriers.
