While some NFL players are relaxing before the start of training camp, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is trying his best to make the world a better place.
Just two weeks ago, Maye got married to his longtime girlfriend Ann Michael Hudson. They dated for roughly a decade before tying the knot in North Carolina. The former No. 3 overall pick shared several pictures from their special day along with this caption: "What a night! Cheers to forever. I love you!"
Shortly after celebrating their wedding, Maye and Hudson apparently made a really selfless gesture.
On Tuesday, radio host Scott Zolak of 98.5 The Sports Hub reported that Maye and Hudson donated all of their wedding gifts to shelters for those in need.
"So the wedding gifts - he didn’t tell anybody. He had this supposed deal with his current wife that — they did a lot of donating with the local kids shelters and stuff for the area he grew up and some kids didn’t have (the right) size shoes, didn’t have some Christmas stuff. They didn’t tell anybody, but they took their wedding gifts and sent them to the homeless and help centers down there," Zolak said. "Everything that they got, they forwarded it."
Unsurprisingly, NFL fans are praising Maye and Hudson for this incredible donation.
Maye hasn't said anything publicly about this report. He'll return to the spotlight later this month for the start of training camp.
During his rookie season with the Patriots, Maye completed 66.6 percent of his passes for 2,276 yards with 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
