NFL reveals scheduling details for Chiefs' divisional playoff game
Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs don't yet know who they'll face in the divisional round of the playoffs or where the game will be played, but they know when the games will potentially occur.

There are even two options, depending on the opponent. The NFL announced the schedule for the divisional round following the Detroit Lions' victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night. After defeating the Miami Dolphins in the wild-card round on Saturday, the Chiefs have advanced to the divisional round of the AFC Playoffs.

Here are the two potential options for K.C in the divisional round:

  • If the Buffalo Bills beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Chiefs will face the Bills on X at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. That game will be played on Sunday, Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m. ET CBS/Paramount+
  • If the Steelers pull off an upset, the Houston Texans will travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. That game will be played on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 4:30 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC.

We'll have to wait until the conclusion of the Bills-Steelers game on Monday afternoon to find out who exactly the opponent is, where the game will be played, and what day it'll be played.

This marks the sixth consecutive season that the Chiefs will have reached at least the divisional round of the playoffs. We'll see if they manage to make it six-straight in the AFC title game as well.
