For the past several days, the NFL has revealed the top 100 plays from the 2024 season on social media, and on Friday, a post with the top 10 was shared.
All the plays in the top 10 are incredible, like Jayden Daniels' Hail Mary completion to Noah Brown to give the Washington Commanders the win over the Chicago Bears in Week 8. As memorable as that play was, it only qualified for No. 3.
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley's backward leap against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9 was the top play of the 2024 season. The 28-year-old star turned what could've been a routine check-down reception into the most special play of the year.

On 3rd & 6 early in the second quarter, Barkley hauled in a catch on the left flat from Jalen Hurts, broke one tackle, spun to make another defender miss, and the spin's momentum forced his jump to come with his back turned against a would-be tackler.
The play-by-play may only say the Eagles and Barkley gained 14 yards on a pass play, but the game tape reveals so much more.
Barkley appears twice in the top 10, also coming in at No. 8 for his 60-yard touchdown run in the first quarter against the Commanders in the NFC Championship.
