Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills got back on track following a disappointing loss to the Miami Dolphins, improving to 7-3 on the 2025 NFL season with a 44-32 win over Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11. The Buccaneers have now fallen to 6-4 after losing three of their last four games, slipping in the NFC South race.
Allen put on yet another masterclass against Tampa Bay, completing 19-of-30 passes for 317 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, while adding another 40 yards and three scores on the ground. Mayfield, despite the loss, had a decent day as well, completing 16-of-28 passes for 173 yards, one touchdown and one interception, with another 39 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
This marked just the third time the 2018 first-round picks have gone head-to-head, with Allen now holding a 2-1 record over Mayfield. The last time the two quarterbacks met was in the 2023 season, when Allen led the Bills to a 24-18 win over Mayfield and the Bucs.
Following Sunday’s game, Allen and Mayfield met at midfield for a postgame handshake. The two quarterbacks greeted each other with a hug and exchanged a few words before heading their separate ways. The NFL reacted to the handshake on social media.

Up next for Allen and the Bills, a matchup with the Houston Texans on the road in Week 12's edition of "Thursday Night Football." Meanwhile, Mayfield and the Buccaneers will look to end a two-game drought, heading across the country to face the Los Angeles Rams on "Sunday Night Football."
