An NFL stadium earned the unflattering honor of being named the most haunted sports venue in the United States. AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, could be haunted, according to a recent ranking.
The venue opened in 2009, becoming one of the most attractive venues in the NFL, not only because of the Cowboys playing their home games there. The so-called “Jerry’s World” made the rounds on social media recently after it ranked No. 1 on a scary list.
Finn Archer of The Sports Geek ranked AT&T Stadium No. 1 on the list of “The 10 Most Haunted Sports Stadiums in the US and Canada.”
The venue received “the highest possible score for published ghost stories.” Additionally, former employees said they witnessed “unsettling accounts.”
Selena Sixtos, a former employee, insists she once heard someone moving inside a restroom stall late at night. Surprisingly, the stall was empty.
Other accounts include “mysterious shadows,” “unexplained voices” and “approaching footsteps.” Someone even said they saw dishes in the stadium kitchen rise into the air before crashing to the floor.
Some of these incidents made people quit on the spot. However, they all remain unconfirmed. It is worth noting that the stadium was built less than half a mile from the Keystone Cemetery.
