The NFL is going ahead with plans to release a full schedule for the 2020 regular season amid the coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday evening, NFL Communications announced that NFL Network will air a three-hour program for the schedule release on Thursday, May 7. The show begins at 8:00 pm ET, and it can also be viewed via the NFL app and the league's official website.
General managers, head coaches, and others will be interviewed during the program that will break down the entire 256-game campaign. Sites and times for kickoffs will also be announced.
Earlier in the day, Albert Breer of MMQB reported that the NFL could push the start of its season back to November to ensure fans would be able to attend games and to avoid clubs from potentially losing up to $100 million apiece in local revenue if government officials prevented people from flocking to stadiums through the end of the year.
