Some NFL defenses just cannot slow down certain positions, and that's the basis for these two plays. Against soft defenses and producing against their lines over the past few weeks, these two players seem set to keep it rolling as we move to Week 10.
As I dug through the week's targets, the Detroit Lions pass-catchers popped up all over the place. First, as a solid group to target for yardage props considering the Chargers have allowed the third-most yards per pass attempt and the most passing yards per game, plus a 21st-ranked pass defense DVOA.
Then I had Sam LaPorta and Jahmyr Gibbs show up as solid looks for reception props due to Los Angeles allowing plenty of catches to each position.
Then I had Lions WRs show up again as good bets for explosive plays because the Chargers allow the third-most 20+ yard passes per game this season.
After awhile, it just makes sense to load up the guy who is throwing them the football, and that would be Jared Goff.
Goff is over this line in three straight games, and betting QBs against Los Angeles is the most profitable betting strategy there is this season. All eight quarterbacks who have faced the Chargers have gone over their passing yards prop. It's Goff's turn to extend that streak with his strong group of weapons.
For the second week in a row, the Houston passing attack came up as a good look for passing and receiving props. I'm most drawn to Dalton Schultz here, the tight end for the Texans.
Schultz has been humming, seeing 32 targets in his last four games, averaging 5.75 catches per game and 65.25 yards/game.
The Houston TE should be able to stay involved here against a Cincinnati team that has gotten torched by tight ends lately. The Bengals are allowing the third-most receptions/game to tight ends and the second-most yards/game to the position.
Two recent performances have me wanting to continue attacking this Cincy defense. Dalton Kincaid finished with 81 yards last week and George Kittle went for 149 the week prior. Considering Schultz's role in this offense, he should be next in line to capitalize.
